Our intention is not just to create an immensely delicious cup of coffee, but a relaxing and welcoming environment for everyone. Founded and owned by proud LGBTQ+ staff, we strive to host a space that is safe, inclusive and comfortable for all.We have big plans to take this credo a step further as our business grows, so stay tuned for our event announcements!

Acafémia is passionate about celebrating our community of extraordinary people. We are eager to promote local artists, businesses, book clubs, board game gatherings, and more. We'll even be hosting some of our own! If you have a collaboration or inquiry in mind please don't hesitate to reach out to us!As our business grows, we hope to partner with charities and donation centers for book drives, fundraising etc. Stay tuned for more updates!

Founder & President
Nolan started off his working life as a barista for a big name coffee shop. After securing a BA in Philosophy, he then journeyed abroad to teach ESL for a few years before returning to the states to dive deep into sales, management, and business. Now, feeling well-rounded and inspired, Nolan has set forth on his new business venture - Acafémia.

Best Buddy
Liz has not only been an educator, a barista for a big name coffee company, and a business-savvy manager, they are also Nolan's best friend of 15 years. Currently thriving in their own business ventures as a Voice Actor, they are both an inspiration to Nolan to pursue his own dreams and a lynchpin in Acafémia's operations.

➲ What is "Acafémia"?
"Acafémia" is a play on the words "Academia" and "cafe". It's an homage to our love of coffee and our passion for education.
➲ What do you do?
We don't just provide delicious drinks and a place for your guests to sit back and relax- we want to fully lean into your theme! Need some on-site caffeine for your book club? Got a D&D campaign that needs a tavern and some NPC barkeeps? Throwing a themed murder mystery and want some classy custom drinks?We've got you!Cocktail parties, baby showers, game tournaments, LARP sessions, themed birthdays- you name it! We are excited to work with you to create a tasty drink menu, have a chance to dress up a little, and create a fun immersive experience for you and your guests.
➲ Where can I find you?
Currently we are attending Farmers Markets, Food Festivals, and other public events in the Long Beach, Torrance, and LA area! Our eventual goal is to also run our Pop-Up Cafe at Conventions and private events in the area as well, and eventually a brick-and-mortar café- so stay tuned!
➲ Can I hire you for my event?
Our private event services will be COMING SOON IN 2026! Once we are up and running, we will be thrilled to work with private parties. Our event services even include custom signature drinks made specifically for you and your guests! You can reach out to us via email or fill out our form on the Contact Us page!
